Water & Sanitation Management Organization is a facilitating organisation working towards drinking water security and habitat improvement by empowering communities to manage their local water sources and village drinking water supply system and services. Pursuant to the 73rd amendment to the Constitution In the year 1993, roles of Government had a paradigm shift in the drinking water sector from service provider to facilitator, thereby enabling the community to act as planner and implementer of village water supply schemes.
