Engagement of Finance Consultant (CLOSED)
V. V. Giri national Labour Institute invites applications for engagement of Finance Consultant from
retired Government Group ‘A’ officers purely on Contract Basis, for a period of 01 year which is
extendable. The details regarding eligibility criteria, scope of work etc. are as under:-

Scope of Work:
| a) Monitoring of Expenses on each budget head and report to the top management wherever differences arise | f) Co-ordination with internal, Income Tax and Govt. Auditors and performing the replies for Audit Paras. |
| b) Vetting of financial proposals of Institute related to the Procurement of Goods & Services | g) Coordinating the committee in the matter related to purchase, Finance, Medical, Development Fund, Pension etc. |
| c) Assistance in Preparation of Tender Documents, Opening and Examination of the Technical and Financial bids and furnishing the recommendation thereof for Decision making to award the contract and its finalization. | h) Financial monitoring and Utilization Certificate to various funding agencies. |
| d) Examining of Budget for the various training Programmes and Research Projects undertaken by the institute. | i) Any other work assigned by the competent authorities. |
| e) Monitoring and comparison of actual with sanction budget. |

The National Labour Institute, as the V.V Giri National Labour Institute was known until 1995, was first conceived in 1962. The need for an autonomous institute to undertake and coordinate research in the field of labour, especially on unorganized labour, was a prominent part of the agenda when, during the Gandhi centenary year, the Ministry of Labour organized a workshop on ‘Gandhi and Labour’. Further highlighted in Justice P. B. Gajendragadkar’s First National Commission on Labour Report, the National Labour Institute was registered as an autonomous society in 1972. The Institute was renamed in 1995 in honour of Shri V.V. Giri, a former President of India, renowned trade union leader and doyen of labour studies in the country.
