1. Principal Sainik School Kapurthala invites applications for the Recruitment of 01 X PEM / PTI cum Matron. The vacancy is Contractual for one year. The seat is Un-Reserved. Salary will be Rs 40,000/- pm (consolidated).
2. Qualification.
Essential Qualification.
- (a) 04 years degree of B.P. Ed (Bachelor of Physical Education) from any National Council for Teacher Education recognised institution
- OR
- (b) 03 years Graduation and 01 year B.P.Ed Diploma
- OR
- (c) B. Sc (PE), Health Education & Sports +01 Year B.P.Ed Diploma
Desirable Qualification.
- (a) Experience of working in any Sainik School will be given preference.
- (b) Communication in English.
- (c) Knowledge of Computer
3. PEM / PTI will have to perform additional duties of Matron for girls hostel too.
4. Last date of submission of application form is 31 Aug 2023.
5. Reservation. The post is un-reserved
6. Age. Should be between 21 to 35 years. The cut off date is 01 Jul 2023.
7. Other Conditions.
- (a) Candidates appointed at Sainik School Kapurthala will be employees of Sainik Schools Society and Sainik Schools Society Rules and Regulations in vogue and as amended from time to time will be applicable for all the posts. All the posts are transferable with All India Liability.
- (b) Applications with attested copies of testimonials and non refundable demand draft for an amount of Rs 500/- for Gen/OBC candidates or Rs 250/-for SC/ST Candidates drawn in favour of “Principal Sainik School Kapurthala” should reach the school at the address: Principal, Sainik School, Kapurthala, Punjab – 144 601 latest by 31 Aug 2023. In case of non receipt of fees, requisite certificates for educational documents, the application will be summarily rejected.
- (c) Candidates are to clearly mention the name of the post applied on the top of Bio-data form and envelope. If any field/information, asked in the application, is left blank/ provided false/wrong information, the application will be rejected summarily without giving any justification. Application received after due date will not be considered. The school will not be held responsible for any type of delay including postal or otherwise, to or from, during any stage of the selection process.
- (d) Candidates are to mention their own valid email id, mobile number, alternate mobile number clearly and correctly in their application form. All correspondence with candidates by the school will be made through email only.
- (e) Shortlisted candidates meeting all eligibility criteria will only be called for written test. Information of the same will be communicated to shortlisted candidates through email. The list of candidates for class demonstration and interview will be declared subsequently based on the performance of candidates during the written test.
- (f) The candidates are to bring and produce their original educational and professional qualification certificates for document verification during the selection process itself. The candidature of candidates not producing their original educational and professional qualification certificates for verification during the selection process itself will be rejected without giving any justification.
- (g) No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the selection tests. The candidates will have to make own arrangements for boarding and lodging.

About Sainik School Kapurthala
Sainik School Kapurthala is one of 24 Sainik Schools across India. The school was inaugurated in July 1961 by the then Defence Minister V.K.Krishna Menon, with the objective of preparing boys for entry into National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla. Its motto is “Knowledge, Humility and Discipline”. It is a fully residential school for boys only, providing public school education. It has produced more than 1150 officers for the Indian armed forces through National Defence Academy. It is the only school among the twenty Sainik Schools which has held the Defence Minister’s trophy continuously for nine years.
It is situated in the Kapurthala city of Punjab state, in Jagatjit palace which was formerly the palace of the Maharajah of princely state of Kapurthala, HRH Maharajah Jagatjit Singh Bahadur. Jagatjit palace (location: 31.374 N, 75.392 E) was completed in 1908.
