Walk-in-Interview for Plant Health Clinic Assistant
A walk-in-interview for 10 (Ten) positions of Plant Health Clinic Assistant (PHCA) on contractual basis under National Horticulture Mission (MIDH) Project functioning at 09 (Nine) Krishi Vigyan Kendras and 01 (One) at Dept. of Plant Pathology of OUAT will be held on 26.06.2023 at 10.00 am in the Conference Hall of Directorate of Extension Education, OUAT, Bhubaneswar. The interested candidates should bring their bio-data (four sets), two recent passport size photographs, self-attested copies of all certificates/mark sheet/experience certificates for appearing the interview. The original certificates and proof of age should be produced for verification at the time of the interview. The engagement is initially for one year and likely to be extended on a yearly basis till the tenure of the project on satisfactory work performance. The appointment may be terminated at any time without prior notice or assigning any reason thereof. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

The Radhakrishnan University Education Commission of 1949 emphasised the need for establishing Agricultural Universities in India., Subsequently, the indo-American team consistitued under the Chairmanship of Dr. K.R. Damle (1955), the then Vice-president of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, suggested a system of education for Indian as followed in the Land Grant Colleges of USA. The Planning Commission Committee felt the inadequacy of trained personnel for substantial output in agricultural operations with the then set up of research, education and extension in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and allied fields. In course of time, these recommendations led to the creation of the agricultural universities to accomplish the integration of teaching, research and extension.
