a. Canvassing in any form would be a disqualification. b. The candidates who are called for Document Verification are not eligible for any Travelling/ Dearness Allowances, lodging & fooding Expenses. c. Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for apprenticeship in response to this notification as they are governed by separate scheme of apprenticeship. d. Apprenticeship of the candidate is subject to their registration with RDAT/Kanpur. e. The selected candidates shall execute a contract of Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and if such a candidate is a minor, his parent/Guardian shall execute the prescribed contract. The Apprentices shall be governed by the provisions of Apprenticeship Rules, 1962 as amended from time to time and such Rules and Regulations applicable to them. f. In case any applicant discontinues the apprenticeship training and fails to fulfill the obligations as per his contract without valid reasons, he/she will have to refund the stipend paid to him/her, the cost of training and such other costs that may be determined under the Rules by the Railway Administration. g. The candidature for training is liable to be canceled at any time if false declaration discovered and candidates are not adhering Rules & Regulations of Railways. The decision of the Railway Administration in this regard will be final and binding. No further correspondence in this regard would be entertained.

Qualification
: Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI in relevant trade (Recognised by SCVT/NCVT) and for other posts: 12th or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. The compulsion of 50% marks in aggregate will not be insisted upon in case of SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates possessing qualification higher than 12th or its equivalent. (ii) For level-1( Erstwhile Group ‘D’) posts: Matriculation (10th ) or its equivalent. (B) Scouting :(a) President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge(HWB) holder in any section, (b) Should have been an active member of a Scouts Organization for the last 05 years. (The “Certificate of activeness” should be in the prescribed format which will be made available on the NER’s website.) (c) Should have attended two events at National Level or All Indian Railway’s Level and two events at State Level.

:(i) Before applying, the candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility norms. The Educational or Scouting/Guiding qualifications acquired after the last date for submission of application shall not be considered. (ii) A candidate shall be called for Written Examination only if he/she is considered fulfilling all the laid down eligibility criteria as per his/her application. (iii) Candidates attempting to give false information/suppressing the facts will be disqualified and are liable for debarment and legal action. Candidates who attempt fraud/impersonation are liable to be debarred to appear in the future examinations conducted for recruitment in Railways. (iv)Candidates found eligible for appointment will have to pass the prescribed medical examination conducted by the Railway administration before appointment. (v) Mere selection of candidates and recommendation for their recruitment/appointment shall not confer any right on the candidates for their recruitment/appointment in Railway. (vi) Second class Free journey pass from the nearest Railway station mentioned in the application form will be issued to the candidates belonging to SC & ST communities whenever they are called at any stage of recruitment. (vii) The person appointed against Scouts & Guides Quota to the category of clerks will be required to possess proficiency in typing within a period of two years from the date of appointment, and their appointment will be provisional subject to acquisition of the prescribed typing qualification within the stipulated period. In case of non acquisition of typing skill within the prescribed period, no additional time will be given and services of such candidate(s) will be summarily terminated.
