Qualification

i. A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the sub section (3) of the section 13 of the Act. ii. A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D/MS or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. iii. Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or qualification recognised equivalent thereto. iv. The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

Instructions

1. Applicants already in employment in Government/Semi-Government/Corporate Bodies should route their applications through their employers or produce No Objection Certificate (NOC). 2. In case applicants willing to join the Institute on deputation he/she may also apply accordingly. The qualification & experience for the applicant willing to join the Institute on deputation will be: persons working in analogous post or post one level below shall be eligible for consideration provided they fulfil the requisite qualification & experience prescribed for direct recruit. The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 3 (three) years at a time. The pay of the Faculty Members will be protected as per Govt. of India Rules. Upper age limit for candidate willing to come on deputation should not exceed 56 years as on the last date of submission of application. 3. The candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI12(2)/2018-Med.Misc/142810 dated 31.10.2018 and to submit such verification certificate along with application. 4. Applicants are required to ensure their eligibility in all respects before applying. 5. The crucial date for determining the age limit, qualification and experience will be the last date of submission of application. 6. A Post Graduate Qualification means the qualification recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI/NMC) as included in the “Minimum Qualification for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulation, 1998” of the MCI/NMC. 7. Mere fulfilling the minimum educational qualification and experience doesn’t bestow right to a candidate to be called for interview. 8. Period of probation for all faculty posts is for two years. 9. Accommodation will be provided to the faculty members appointed at the Institute, subject to availability of quarters. 5 10. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layers)/Person with Benchmarked Disabilities will be as per Govt. of India norms. 11. Relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layers)/Ex-serviceman/Person with Benchmarked Disabilities candidates will also be allowed as per Govt. Rules, where reservations of posts are meant for these categories only. 12. Candidates belonging to OBC (Non-creamy layer) category are required to submit the latest OBC (Non-creamy layer) certificate issued by the competent authority in the current financial year 2023-2024. 13. Reservation for EWS will be as per Government of India Guidelines. 14. As per guidelines EWS posts are not carried forward/or considered as backlog vacancy in case unfilled hence other category candidates may be allowed provisionally to apply for post subjected to condition that they will be considered for the post as an UR Candidate only if EWS category seat is otherwise not filled. 15. The decision of the Institute as to eligibility or otherwise of a candidate will be final. 16. The decision of the Institute’s authority in respect of screening/selection shall be final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. 17. Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification. 18. A candidate has to submit separate applications, if he/she desires to apply for more than one post. 19. The appointment to the said post will be subject to medical fitness from the competent medical board for which he/she will be sent to the designated medical authority. 20. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 21. Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason thereof. 22. The Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt/late receipt of any communication send by the candidates due to postal delay/lost in transit
