Qualification

The Candidate:The candidate should have a successful track record of leading a business unit or a business segment or a large region or a corporate function in an organisation engaged/connected with development finance, banking, NBFC, venture finance or micro finance. The candidate should have a minimum work experience of 25 years with atleast 3 years at the Senior Management level (equivalent to minimum DGM/GM in a public sector bank). The candidate should have competencies to lead NEDFi to meet its objectives effectively and efficiently. The candidate’s track record of achievements and contribution in the current and the previous jobs will be an important factor in assessing the potential for this position. The candidate should have a recognised Post Graduate degree, preferably in Management, Economics, Commerce or Engineering and / or relevant graduate professional qualifications (B.E./B.Tech./C.A./C.F.A., etc.). A candidate having familiarity with the North Eastern Region arising from several years of relevant working experience in this area will be preferred.

Responsibilities

The job involves leading a group of professionals to fulfil the vision and objectives of the Corporation. The position reports to the Board of Directors. The job involves scanning opportunities, generating stretch targets, ensuring appropriate appraisal, due diligence, approval, and disbursement; identifying and developing entrepreneurship, augmenting resources from multiple sources, monitoring and controlling asset performance, ensuring appropriate risk management, and corporate governance practices, coordinating and liaisoning with shareholders and the stakeholders including the DFIs, Central and State Governments multilateral agencies, local economic, industrial and social forums etc. The job requires multiple business skills particularly combining critical competencies in developmental finance, venture financing, and micro credit management.
