MPSDMA is a statutory body created under the provisions of Disaster Management Act, 2005 passed by the Parliament
Vision: To become one of the effective State Authorities which enjoys highest confidence of citizens of Madhya Pradesh for management of any type of disasters with dedicated bureaucratic and technical framework under state political leadership.
Mission: To provide state residents, businesses and industries, non-profit organizations, and local administrations the education and support necessary to reduce the loss of life and human suffering; to develop best Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of disaster management through field testing by involving all stakeholders and by considering multi-hazards risk management, through incorporating prevention and mitigation approach from conceptual stage of planning, of all development activities.
