The staff will be governed as per the rules of Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College, Karnal which are at par with the rules currently applicable to the employees of Pt. B.D Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak. 3. Preference will be given to fresher for the post of Junior Residents, who have recently completed their MBBS course. 4. The appointment shall be purely on contract basis only for a period of six months extendable up to one year as per the requirement due to COVID-19. 2. The job is terminable with a notice of one month on either side. No certificate of experience or relieving will be issued before completion of the tenure. 3. The appointee will be allowed five days' casual leave in case of male and ten days' casual leave in case of female candidates, during the period of six months' contract. The appointee will not be entitled to any vacation, earned leave, half pay leave, medical leave etc, However, in exceptional circumstance, leave without pay may be granted up to five days only on the recommendation of the competent authority. In case the absence exceeds five days without information the contract will automatically stand cancelled. 4. In case, the candidates fail to join duty within one week of issuing of the offer of appointment, the same will automatically stand withdrawn/cancelled without any further notice. It is also clarified that no extension in joining time will be allowed and no correspondence on this behalf will be entertained. However, in any such case the sole right stands reserved with the Director, KCGMC, Karnal for takihg further decision. 5. The number of posts are liable to be increased or decreased, either way, including complete withdrawal. 6. In case, the number of candidates found to be more than 10 times the number of posts advertised, a written screening examination/test may be conducted by the College for short-listing the candidates. 7. Medical private practice of any time during Govt. service is prohibited. 8. The Director, Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Karnal is competent to increase/decrease or withdraw the advertised posts. 9. All disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of court of law at Karnal. Note 1. The State Government decided to establish a Medical College at Karnal in the memory of famous Astronaut LATE KALPANA CHAWLA who belonged to Karnal. Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Honorable Chief Minister Haryana made the announcement of establishing this Medical College at Karnal on 26.01.2010. Image Placeholder Accordingly it was decided by the Government to construct a new medical college for 100 MBBS seats and new state of the art hospital with 500 beds on turn key basis. Hospital Services Consultation Corporation (HSCC) INDIA Ltd. Noida, a Government of India Enterprises under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has been appointed for providing consultancy services from concept to commissioning for the project. The project will be completed in 25 months. Image Placeholder The concept plan of the project was approved on 10.10.2012 and the Honorable Chief Minister Haryana laid down the foundation stone of the Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College on 18.11.2012. The detailed project report worth Rs. 645.77 Crores for the college has been approved of the college was approved in the 5th steering committee meeting held on 16.04.2013. The college will be constructed on the 44 acres of the land belonging to police lines and civil hospital Karnal.This land has already been transfered to KCGMC, karnal along with other nearby lands of medical enclave measuring 3.5 acres and jernailly kothi measuring 1.5 acres. The administrative & functional control of general hospital Karnal has been handed over to Kalpana Chawla Govt. Medical College, Karnal w.e.f. 1.12.2012. The college has estasblished its temporary office on the First floor of Trauma Center building.
