Notification
It is hereby notified that online applications are invited from eligible candidates who are qualified as on the last date fixed for submission of applications for direct recruitment of 1 (one) post of Cable Operator (Group-D) on the Establishment of the High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru, through online link on https://karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in/recruitment.php.
Method of Recruitment
- The Selection of candidates will be made in accordance with the High Court of Karnataka Service (Conditions of Service and Recruitment) Rules, 1973, as amended vide the High Court of Karnataka Service (Conditions of Service and Recruitment) (II Amendment) Rules, 2022 read with Government Order DPAR 21 SHM 1990, dated 16.11.1995.
- Qualification and Experience:
- Must have passed SSLC or its equivalent examination and ITI (Electronics/Electrical/IT stream by recognized Institute).
- Must have Experience inclusive of Network Maintenance, VLAN, Switch, Router, Modem Configuration and LAN work for a period of not less than one year.
- A Certificate in CCNA/CCNP issued by recognized and reputed institutes will be desirable.
Note: Tenth Standard or equivalent means courses as prescribed in Government of Karnataka Circular No. DPAR 81 SCR 2017 dated 27.02.2018
- Method of Recruitment: By Direct recruitment by Interview having qualifications and experience as above.
Scale of Pay
`19,900 – `63,200 (Level–2) with admissible allowances as per the High Court of Karnataka (Officers & Officials) Revised Pay Rules, 2018.
Probation
The applicant if appointed, shall be on probation initially for a period of two years or for an extended period, if necessary.
Age limit
- As on the last date of submission of online application, the applicants must have attained the age of 18 years in respect of all categories and not attained the age of:
- 40 years in the case of a person belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Category-I of other Backward Classes.
- 38 years in the case of persons belonging to Category II-A / II-B / III-A / III-B of other Backward Classes; and
- 35 years in the case of a person belonging to General Merit.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in Rule 6 of the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977:
- In case of an applicant who is working or holding a post under the Government or a local authority or a Corporation established by a State Act or Central Act or established by the Government under a State Act or Central Act and owned or controlled by the Government, the age is relaxed by the number of years during which he/she is or was holding such post or ten years whichever is less.
- In case of a candidate who is an Ex-serviceman – the age is relaxed by three years plus the number of years of service rendered by him in the Armed Forces of the Union.
- In case of a candidate who is Physically Challenged – the age is relaxed by ten years.
- In the case of a candidate who is Widow – the age is relaxed by ten years.
- The minimum and maximum age limit shall be as on the last date fixed for applying online.
General Instructions
While submitting the application through online, the candidate shall ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms and that all the particulars furnished by him/her are correct in all respects. Further, the candidate shall read all the instructions carefully before submitting the online application.
Procedure for submitting the application through online:
- The candidate shall submit his/her application through online on the High Court of Karnataka website https://karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in/recruitment.php. Applications sent/submitted by any mode other than online will not be considered.
- The candidate is required to fill up the required information while submitting the online application, and payment of the fee shall be made in accordance with the instructions mentioned hereunder. The candidate should ensure that the particulars filled in are correct in all respects before the final submission of the online application. The application once submitted cannot be withdrawn or modified.
- The candidate shall provide his/her Mobile number and valid Email ID mandatorily for communication at relevant columns while submitting the online application. The authority is not responsible for non-receipt of SMS or Email due to the furnishing of incorrect information.
- The candidate shall scan his/her latest passport-size photograph with a white background (having 5 cms of length X 3.5 cms of breadth with max. size 50kb) and signature on white paper in a black ballpoint pen (having 2.5 cms of length X 7.5 cms of breadth with max. size 25kb) in jpg format and upload the same while submitting the online application. The jpg images shall be clear and visible, else the application will not be considered.
- The candidate shall upload the following Documents at the time of submitting the online application:
- His/Her 10th Standard or equivalent examination marks card.
- Certificate/Marks Card having passed ITI (Electronics/Electrical/IT Stream by a recognized Institute).
- Experience Certificate on Network Maintenance, VLAN, Switch, Router, Modem Configuration, and LAN work for a period of not less than one year.
- Certificate in CCNA/CCNP issued by recognized and reputed institutes, if any.
The scanned documents shall be uploaded in PDF format only, and they shall be clear and readable.
- Before the final submission of the online application, the candidate will be able to preview his/her duly filled application. The candidate is advised to take a printout of the filled-up application for his/her record.
- The candidate should retain his/her application number carefully for the generation of the Intimation Letter from the link provided on the website of the High Court of Karnataka and for any other information regarding his/her eligibility for the Interview.
- The candidates are advised to visit the website of the High Court of Karnataka – Recruitment Notifications Section at regular intervals for updates.
- The list of eligible candidates shortlisted for Interview will be published on the High Court of Karnataka website https://karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in/recruitment.php. Further, a link will be provided for downloading the Intimation Letter for the Interview. The candidate must bring the said Intimation letter at the time of appearing for the Interview.
- Intimation will also be sent to the eligible candidates through SMS and Email to the Email-ID furnished by the candidates at the time of submission of the online application.
- No Intimations will be sent by post.
- In case the candidate submits more than one online application form, he/she must note that the application which is submitted last by him/her will only be considered by the Registry. No correspondence requesting to accept previous application(s) will be entertained by the Registry.
- The candidates called for Interview will have to appear for the same at their own cost at the place and time decided and notified by the High Court of Karnataka.

The Karnataka High Court is the High Court of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka. The High Court functions out of a red brick building known as Attara Kacheri. It is in front of Vidhana Soudha, which is the seat of the legislature of Karnataka.The Karnataka High Court is currently functional in Bangalore, Hubli-Dharwad and Gulbarga.
History
The history of the Karnataka High Court can be traced back to the year 1884 when the Chief Court of Mysore was created with three judges and was designated as the highest court of appeal, reference and revision in the State of Mysore, the earlier name of Karnataka. The court had District Courts, Sub-ordinate Judges’ Courts and Munsiff Courts to assist it on civil cases and a Court of Sessions, District Magistrate and First, Second and Third Class Magistrates to assist it on criminal cases. In 1881, the office of the Chief Judge was created and the designated person had the utmost authority in the court. In 1930, it was renamed as the High Court of Mysore and the Chief Judge was given the new name of Chief Justice. In 1973, it got its present name of Karnataka High Court.
