ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE
Applications on a prescribed format are invited from eligible and interested candidates for the below-mentioned position available in the research project on “An Approach to Model Covid-19 Outbreak.” The project has been sanctioned by the JK Science Technology and Innovation Council, Government of J&K. The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project.

The list of eligible candidates for the interview shall be uploaded on the university website www.iust.ac.in. The date of the interview will be communicated through email/IUST website.

- The above post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, and the candidates shall not claim for regular appointments in the university.
- Selection will be exclusively based on an interview.
- The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without prior notice.
- The salary component is subject to the release of funds by the funding agency.
- Eligible candidates must bring all the testimonials/certificates (in original and one attested copy) at the time of the interview.
- No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.
- Candidates will have to produce original documents relating to their qualification, experience, etc. at the time of appearing in the interview.
- The University reserves the right to defer/not fill up the post advertised hereinabove, without assigning any reason thereof.
- In case the candidate wants to withdraw, he/she must serve a one-month notice period (or one-month salary).
- The terms and conditions governing the service shall be as per the rules & regulations of the university and/or funding agency (wherever applicable) with amendments from time to time.

The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, J&K has been established through an Act No. XVIII of 2005 dated: 7th November 2005 passed by J&K State Legislature and notified by the State Government, through Jammu & Kashmir Government Gazette dated: 11-11-2005. While the university started functioning in November, 2005 the teaching programme was started in July 2006. The Chancellor of the University is the Chief Minister of J&K State and the executive authority of the University is its Executive Council with the Vice Chancellors of University of Jammu, University of Kashmir and Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University as members. The University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) and Section 12(b) of UGC Act. The Technical programmes offered by the University are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The University came into existence with a mandate to advance and disseminate knowledge, wisdom and understanding amongst all segments of the society within and outside the State. It is also charged with creating an environment for learning, teaching and research in the sciences, technology, humanities and social sciences and that is in keeping with the highest standards of scholarship and higher education.
