Job Profile for Editorial Assistant (EA)

To serve as the Editorial Assistant (EA) to the Editors for the newly installed journal of IIM Indore. The EA’s role
will be to receive and process the submissions received through the journal submission system. The initial checks
will include language accuracy, paper format (as per journal requirements), and plagiarism checks. Responsibility of
transferring the paper, after initial checks, to a suitable Editor. Replying to any author queries from time to
time.

Qualification:

• Postgraduate in Management from a reputed institute.
• First class throughout academic life (from 10th class onwards).

Work Experience:

2 years in managing a journal/magazine/any academic or commercial outlet in a similar position.

Desirable:

Good speaking and writing proficiency in English.

Salary & Allowances

Salary will not be a constraint for the deserving candidate.

Nature of Appointment

The selected candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract for a period of one year and extendable one year at a
time for a maximum period of three years on a consolidated monthly pay package subject to satisfactory performance
which will be reviewed on an annual basis. The selected candidate would be evaluated after three months of joining
and would be able to complete first year in the Institute only if the performance is found satisfactory at the end
of three months.

Job Application – Branding and Communication Consultant(CLOSED)

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Facilitation in writing impactful summaries based on faculty research articles for publications.
• To develop public outreach initiatives for IIM Indore faculty, especially for their research and teaching.
• To support the IIM Indore Community with their communication needs.
• To build more engagement around the various activities that the WCS engages in through its digital space. This space would document all WCS events, activities, and resources that the studio has fashioned.
• To conduct online and in-person consultancy sessions.
• To provide expert, individualized guidance on rhetoric, communication, language, and composition to faculty members.
• To create periodic and relevant handouts for community members at IIM Indore on rhetoric, communication, and other job-market material.
• To provide administrative support with language needs.
• To participate in regular outreaches to ensure that the WCS remains a vibrant and appealing space for the students.
• Any other duty assigned by the faculty coordinator from time to time.

Qualification and Experience:

The candidates must have a postgraduate degree in any discipline of Management, Social Sciences, Humanities, or Sciences, with an inclination for working closely with students one-on-one. Candidates with teaching experience and certified expertise in the field of Communication, ESL/ELT, and English-language teaching in India will be preferred.

Salary:

The final salary will be decided according to the candidate’s credentials and interview performance.
