About Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota (IIIT, Kota) – इंडियन इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ इनफार्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी कोटा:

Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota (IIIT, Kota) is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology established in 2013. IIIT Kota is a joint venture of the Ministry of Human Resource Development and Government of Rajasthan with Industry Partners in Public-Private Partnership Mode. Currently IIIT, Kota is mentored by Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur and situated at Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur. The main site of IIIT, Kota shall be constructed at Ranpur near Kota, Rajasthan on 100.37 acres of land made available by the State Govt. as committed in MOU.

IIIT Kota admitted the first batch of students in July 2013 and the first batch of 26 students of CSE graduated in May 2017. Institute will have more than 300 students by July 2017.

Functional Structure

The functional Structure of IIITK consists of (a) Governing Council (b) Executive Council (c) Academic Senate. The Governing Council consists of 12 committee members and the Executive Council consists of 5 committee members. While the Academic Senate consists of35 25 members including 5 External members & 4 representatives from Industry Partners. The Academic Senate is the highest academic decision making body. The Institute has following supportive and active Industrial Partners as envisioned in the mission and vision of the Institute.
