Qualification
(i) The candidate MUST have secured at least 65% cumulatively or equivalent CGPI at the time of application submission itself. Candidates in all cases shall be required to be clear PASS with 65% Marks or Equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Index before finally joining the program. A 5% relaxation shall be applicable for SC/ST/PH Candidates. (ii) A B.Tech candidate with a minimum CGPI of 8.5 and who qualifies the requirements of project may be considered for the position. (iii) For Candidates with B.Tech./ M.Tech. (VLSI / ECE / Material Science / Nanotechnology) Degree Backgrounds – a. Valid GATE Score OR b. Valid UGC/CSIR NET or JRF (iv) For Candidates with M.Sc. (Electronics Science) Backgrounds – a. Valid GATE Score OR b. Valid UGC/CSIR NET or JRF (v) Candidates with a CGPI of more than 8.0 from IITs/ IIITs/ IISERs/ and such institutions of National importance may be called for the selection process directly. (vi) Furthermore, the applicant will be preferred if s/he has sound knowledge of Semiconductor Physics, Device simulation / practical knowledge of basic thin film fabrication steps/ thin film surface characterizations, etc., and Experience in simulations with CAD software (COMSOL/Ansys/SolidWorks) software.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT-A) was established in 1999, as a center of excellence in Information Technology and allied areas. The institute was conferred “Deemed University” status by Govt. of India in the year 2000.
