Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of CRS Project Fellow.

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of One (01) CRS Project Fellow to work on a CRS project titled “Study of ferroelectricity in the magnetic state of spin-chain based system: Exploration of new multiferroic materials” funded by UGC-DAE CSR (Kolkata Centre). The duration of the project is three (03) years. The selected candidate has to visit UGC-DAE CSR centres (Kolkata/Indore/Mumbai/Kalpakkam Node) for research work.

Note:

1. The position is purely temporary. The initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to 3 years or end of the project based on performance.

3. The selected candidate may be considered for admission to Ph.D. program as per institute eligibility, rules, and statutes.
4. Candidates with experience in synthesis & characterization of materials will be preferred.
5. CRS = Collaborative Research Scheme.

Screening & Interview Process:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project. Mere qualification of eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting. The interview shall be tentatively conducted in the month of August 2023 through offline mode. For candidates from outside Uttarakhand, online mode may be arranged. The mode of interview, date, time, and venue will be intimated to shortlisted candidates via email only. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview in physical mode. Candidates who are already employed should produce ‘No objection Certificate’ (NOC) from the employer.

Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University was established as a State University vide U.P. State Government notification no. (10)/(865)/15/(75)(85)/64 dated 23 November 1973. It has a rare distinction of taking birth through a powerful popular movement during early seventies in last century. This movement symbolized the hopes and aspirations of the masses of the region of Garhwal for the development through the instrument of higher education. The people of this remote mountainous region agitated for opening a University at a small but historic semi rural town of Srinagar. It was an expression of the quest for empowering their future generations for overcoming endemic economic and social backwardness, geographic and environmental constrains, re-assertion of cultural identity and harnessing of the local natural and human resources for development.
