Qualification

(i) A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be or have been awarded Ph.D. degree from National Institutes of Importance are exempted from NET/SET: (iii) Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Statutes of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in University subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:- a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode; b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.

Instructions

Only candidates having prescribed qualification and meet the essential conditions will be allowed to appear for the interview. Candidates should register their names in the office of the Assistant Registrar (Teaching), Administrative Office, Goa University half an hour before the scheduled time of the interview. Application on plain paper addressed to the Registrar, Goa University, bio-data with self-attested copies of valid caste certificate, valid residence certificate and certificates pertaining to educational qualification shall be submitted at the time of registration. Candidate shall produce the original certificates for verification during the interview. Candidates appearing for interview will have to present themselves at their own expenses. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates. University reserves the right not to fill up the position/cancel the selection process at any point of time without assigning any reasons and no expenses/refund shall be payable to any applicant in such cases. If selected, the appointee shall have no claim whatsoever for any permanent post due to this appointment.

1. Candidates are advised to read the Information Brochure carefully to check and satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the prescribed qualifications. Once registered, the candidate will receive a mail to his/her registered e-mail ID providing the reference number. Candidate has to use Login details as per the given format below :- i. The candidates may keep on saving various parts of the application. The candidate is permitted to edit any of the parts until it is finally uploaded. Candidates who are already employed shall submit their applications after necessary endorsement by the Head of the concerned Institution/Department. In respect of the applicant who are employed, the PDF form of declaration may be downloaded and after it is duly filled and signed by the competent authority, a scanned copy of the same should be uploaded. Those applicants who are not employed anywhere are required to sign the self-declaration part only and upload the same. 10. Candidates should also upload, wherever asked, scanned legible images of their degree certificates, statement of marks or other certificates in support of their educational qualifications and of the Matriculation or equivalent certificate in support of their age. 11. Candidates should also upload while submitting their applications the following documents: a. 15 years valid Residence Certificate in Goa issued by the competent authority. b.
