Instructions

1. The per day working implies eight hours of working on regular days but do not include Public Holiday declared by Government of Gujarat. Any working on holidays will be separately counted on per hour/day basis. 2. This assignment is purely on daily basis & temporary. The assignment is only for the fixed term for projects i.e. up to 31/03/2020. You shall have no claim or right to regularization on the basis of this assignment. 3. Present place of work will be at Gandhinagar but during the course of the assignment/ Candidate may shall be asked to go anywhere to serve at any of the Institute’s projects or any other establishment, at the sole discretion of the Institute’s requirement. 4. This Institute will not provide accommodation facility during this assignment.

The Industrial Development in Gujarat has continued with vigour since the 1970s and 1980s. During this, clusters of chemical industries found their way in various regions. The situation not only warranted a more attention on arresting pollutants and pollution, but also there were concerns for improvement of environment. Later during the mid nineties, the pollution problem became so much alarming that the Gujarat High Court had to intervene. The Hon’ble High Court issued closures to hundreds of polluting industries. The Government of Gujarat then decided to have an Institute on the lines of NEERI, Nagpur. It was decided to establish an Autonomous Institute registered under both Society Registration Act 1860 as well as Bombay Public Trust Act 1950.
