Qualification

i) Master Degree in Agricultural Sciences (M. Sc. Ag) from a recognized University /Institute. ii) Knowledge of computer operation. iii) Persons with field experience will be given preference.

The TA will be engaged with a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.40,000/+Rs.2,500/- transport allowance

The Age limit of TAs, NFSM will be below 40 years. Age will be computed as on 31st March, 2019.

Job
Responsibilities

i) To assist the Technical Officers of the Directorate for overall monitoring of NFSM. ii) Collection and compilation of Area, Production and yield of NFSM Crops such as Rice, Wheat, pulses, Coarse Cereals, Nutri-Cereals, Commercial crops, etc. export, import and other relevant information related to NFSM from States and other agencies. iii) Collection, scrutiny and compilation of targets and progress reports of NFSM. iv) To maintain relevant records/ data of the NFSM activities. v) To undertake field visits to assess the progress of NFSM and related activities. vi) To undertake other works assigned by the Authority and the Technical Officers as and when required.

Instructions

Period of Contract: Engagement of TA will be made purely on contractual basis for a maximum period of 12 months which is extendable on annual basis for a maximum period of 2 years based on the performance and continuation of the Scheme. The engagement will not confer upon the concerned TA any right for regularization of his/her service in the organization or any other agency in future. The engagement of the TA may be terminated by the authority at any time without assigning any notice and any reason even before the expiry of the contract period. ode of Recruitment: The selection of the candidate will be made on the basis of an interview/personal talk by the Selection/Expert Committee constituted for the purpose by the competent authority.

Directorate of Oilseeds Development, Hyderabad is a sub-ordinate office of the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, located at “Telhan Bhavan”, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad (Telangana). This Directorate was set up in the year 1942 as PIRCOM (Project for Intensification of Regional Research on Cotton, Oilseeds & Maize) Centre which was looking after Research and Development of Oilseed crops in the Country. Subsequently, in the year 1966, this office was re-organized and research and development functions were bifurcated and research has assigned by establishing ICAR institute “Directorate of Oilseeds Research” where as development function remained with this organization, however it was renamed as “Directorate of Oilseeds Development” under Union Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.

The Directorate of Oilseeds Development (DOD) is looking after the monitoring of Oilseed Development Programmes and Oil Palm Development Programme/schemes implemented in the country and also Central sector/sponsored schemes of Ministry in the assigned states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.

This Directorate is located in heart of city, 35 km from Rajiv Gandhi International Air port, Hyderabad, 6 km from Secunderabad Railway Station and 5 KM from Hyderabad Railway station at Telhan Bhavan, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad-500029 (Telengana) in its own building.
