Terms and Conditions

• The above positions are purely on a temporary basis and are co-terminus with the project. There is no provision for re-employment after termination of the project.
• The candidates should bring original certificates proving age and educational qualification, one set of photocopies of certificates, experience certificate if applicable, and the latest photograph along with filled in application (Proforma enclosed) at the time of the interview.
• The decision of the Director will be final and binding in all aspects.
• Those who do not have proof of educational qualification will not be allowed to attend the test and interview.
• No traveling or other allowances are admissible for attending the interview.
• If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at a later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected.

Name of the Post: Young Professional – II (CLOSED)

Number of Post: One

Duration: Up to March 2024 (likely to be extended up to March 2026, subject to the clearance of a
scheme by ICAR) or coterminous with the project whichever is earlier

Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. (Ag) Plant Pathology/ Plant Biotechnology/ or M.Sc in Biotechnology/
Biochemistry

Desirable: Practical Experience in Handling Plant viruses, DNA, RNA and Protein cloning and related
techniques and usage of computer, database, MS office

Emoluments: Rs.35,000 (Consolidated) per month

Age: Minimum age will be 21 years and maximum age 45 years with relaxation as per rules

3. The candidates should bring original certificates, one set of photocopies of certificates, experience certificate if
   applicable and latest passport size photograph at the time of interview.
4. The candidate should hold Degree certificate (at least Provisional certificate) in original in r/o. Graduation/Post
   graduation/Professional degree. (website results/Awaiting for results candidates will not be allowed/considered).
5. No objection certificate from the employer, in case he/she is in employment elsewhere.
6. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to cancellation of candidature or termination.
7. All eligible candidates are requested to be present 60 minutes before reporting time on the date of written test cum
   interview for necessary formalities and verification of documents.
8. Selected Candidates(s) will be required to produce all original documents(certificates) at the time of Joining for
   verification purpose.
9. The selected candidate will be required to produce a medical certificate at the time of joining.
10. The decision of the Director, ICAR-CTCRI will be final and binding on all aspects. The Director shall also reserve
    the right to terminate the contract of the job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project/contract
    period for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
11. The Director, ICAR-CTCRI reserves the right to cancel/postpone the scheduled written test cum interview without
    assigning any reason thereof.
12. Those who do not possess the proof of Educational Qualifications will not be allowed to attend the Test/Interview.
    No traveling or any other allowances are admissible for attending the interview.

The Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, often abbreviated to CTCRI, is a constituent institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is the only research organization in the world dedicated solely to the research on tropical tuber crops. The Institute established in 1963 with its Headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala has with an area of 48.19 hectares. The headquarters of CTCRI is located at Sreekaryam at a distance 12 km away from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport and 10 km from Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station as well as Central Bus Station Thiruvananthapuram. The Institute has a regional centre at Bhubaneswar, Orissa established in 1976 with an area of 20 hectares located 8 km from Bhubaneswar Airport and 7 km from Bhubaneswar railway station to cater the needs of Eastern India.
