Responsibilities

Business Consultant/CEO • will have to focus on the Commercialization of the COE’s research output to create impact and financial return and calculating technology transfer fee as per C-MET norms. • will build long-term strategic relationships on commercialization opportunities, creating future long-term income for the centre (self-sustenance). • will be responsible for interacting with the centre’s researchers to identify new technologies and to assess their commercial potential (techno-commercial road-mapping) and suitability for patent or copyright protection and take care of IP protection and IP portfolio management to control/own the centre’s intellectual property. • will be responsible for promoting the business interest of COE and bring in startups/industries/user agencies in the thrust areas of COE and should catalyse external funding for R & D. • is expected to prepare business cases or plans, facilitate the creation of technology prototypes or demonstration projects, and prepare funding proposals to various government programs that support commercialization of new technology • is required to interact with the COE’s grantees/licensees, start-up companies or other commercial partners to monitor performance and to assist in solving any challenging business issues associated with such relationships and also to ascertain the updates or upgrades needed by the industry that can be addressed by COE/C-MET

1. The applicant must be a Citizen of India. 2. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates.
