Instructions
1 The candidates are requested to bring the necessary essential qualification certificates and a Photostat copy along with the prescribed form (given at Annexure-1). 2. Engagement period: The post is purely temporary on a contractual basis for duration mentioned above from the date of joining under the project. The engagement to the above post shall stand automatically terminated with the project. However, the engagement can be extended in case the project duration is extended by the funding agency subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate. 3. The selected candidate (s) shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is temporary and co-terminus with the project. 4. The candidates should bring the filled-in application form (as per the format annexed), all the original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, degree certificate either original or provisional and one set of the self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph pasted onto the application form. Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted. 5. No TA/DA will be paid to candidate for attending the interview. 6. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature. 7. In case if any candidate intending to appear for the interview has his near or distant relatives working in ICAR-CISH, Lucknow, he/ she has to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, and relationship in writing on the date of the interview. The Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (CISH) was started as Central Mango Research Station on September 4, 1972 under the aegis of the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bangalore
The Research Station was upgraded to a full-fledged Institute and named as Central Institute of Horticulture for Northern Plains on June 1, 1984
Renamed as Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture (CISH) on June 14, 1995, is serving the nation on different aspects of research on mandated subtropical fruits
Has two experimental farms, one at Rehmankhera (132.5 ha) approximately 25 km away from the city and the other (13.2 ha) at Rai Bareli (R.B.) Road, in the city of Lucknow
Has scientific nursery facilities, well established orchards, fully equipped laboratories; trainees hostel-cum-guest house located at R.B. Road Campus
Has in place MOU to facilitate capacity building with Allahabad Agricultural Institute (Deemed University), Allahabad, APS University, Rewa, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, and Lucknow University, Lucknow; trains students for acquiring M.Sc and Ph.D degrees
