ICAR-World Fish Collaborative Project (Window-3 Programme)

on “Small Scale Fishers in Wetlands for Livelihood and Nutritional Security”

Purely on contractual basis

Details:

No. of position: 01 (One) Young Professional-II

Tenure: Upto 31st March, 2024 OR co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.

Essential qualification: M. F. Sc. Or, M.Sc. (Zoology)

Desirable qualification: Experiences in Pen/Cage/Wetland/Community mobilization.

Remuneration: Rs. 35,000/- per month

Age Limit: The Minimum age will be 21 years and Maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.

Date and Time of Interview: 09th June, 2023; 10:00 AM in offline mode only

Venue: Head Office, ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore, Kolkata-700 120

Place of posting: Head Office, ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore or as per necessities

Instructions:

1. Only Indian citizens are eligible for appearing in the interview.
2. Number of vacancies may vary as per requirement.
3. All candidates must send the prescribed application form to interviewcifri@gmail.com. None will be allowed to
   appear in the interview unless he/she sends duly filled in prescribed application form to the said email.
4. Candidates are required to send scanned copies of application addressed to the Director, ICAR-CIFRI attached
   with detailed bio-data, affixed with recent passport size photograph and copies of self-attested certificates
   in support of age, qualifications, experience, testimonials and other credentials to interviewcifri@gmail.com
   within 05:00 PM on 06th June, 2023. All applications received after the mentioned time limit will be
   summarily rejected. Eligible candidates will be informed through phone.
5. Unless a candidate sends Certificate/Provisional Certificate in respect of Graduation & Post Graduation
   Qualification, his/her application will be summarily rejected.
6. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates.
7. Candidates who are already working/or in similar positions should submit No Objection Certificate obtained
   from their employer/supervisor along with the filled-in application form.
8. The selected candidates will be stationed at Barrackpore or project site as per requirement time to time and
   will have to conduct extensive field work involving frequent travel, laboratory works, and survey of different
   sites for sample collection.
9. Selected Candidate(s) will be required to produce all original documents at the time of Joining.
10. The selected candidates shall have no right/claim for regular appointment at ICAR-CIFRI at any point of
    time.
11. The Director’s decision will be final and binding on all aspects.

About Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (सेंट्रल इनलैंड फिशरीज रिसर्च इंस्टिट्यूट):

India has vast and varied types of inland fisheries resources in the form of rivers, estuaries, reservoirs, floodplain wetlands, lakes, coastal lagoons and backwaters, which play important roles in fish production in the country, ensuring food and nutritional security, employment generation and livelihoods to millions of peopl. Recognizing the role of inland fisheries, Government of India established a Central Inland Fisheries Research Station at Calcutta on 17 March 1947, under the then Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Later, in 1959, the Central Inland Fisheries Research Station was elevated to a full-fledged research institute, christened as “Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute”.
