1. Benefits under Council Service: a. These posts carry usual allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc. as admissible to the central government employees and as made applicable to CSIR. Council employees are also eligible for accommodation of their entitled type as per CSIR Allotment Rules depending on availability in which case HRA will not be admissible. b. Other conditions: a. The applicant must be a citizen of India. b. The normal place of posting is CSIR-CEERI at Pilani/Jaipur/Chennai. Job requirement includes extensive field work in different parts of the country. Apart from the above job requirement, a selected candidate may be posted to work in any Section/Division and at any place in India on the discretion of the Competent Authority. c. All applicants must fulfil the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as on the last date of receipt of the applications. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down for various posts as on the last date of receipt of application. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates (such as professional proficiency test, percentage of mark in final degree, written test etc.). The candidate should therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification, supported with documents. Completion of Ph.D. degree will be reckoned from the date of issue of provisional certificate/notification. d. All the essential qualifications/experience and other details of a candidate must be supported by valid documents. The prescribed qualifications must have been obtained through recognized Universities / Institutions etc. Incomplete applications received or not accompanied with the required certificates/documents are liable to be rejected. e. In respect of equivalent clause in Essential Qualifications, if a candidate is claiming a particular qualification as equivalent qualification as per the requirement of advertisement, then the candidate is required to produce order/letter in this regard, indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated, otherwise the Application is liable to be rejected. f. The period of experience rendered by a candidate on part time basis, daily wages, visiting/guest faculty etc. will not be counted while calculating the valid experience for short listing the candidates for interview. g. If any document/ certificate furnished is in a language other than Hindi or English, a transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted officer or Notary is to be submitted. h. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and/or experience shall be the closing date prescribed for last date of receipt of application i.e. 06.11.2023 (Monday). i. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications prescribed for that post. j. Candidates who have already served CSIR-CEERI or any other lab/ institute of CSIR as Project Staff such as Project Assistant/ Project Fellow/ JRF (in contract R&D Projects)/ SRF (in contract R&D Projects)/ Research Associate etc. for a total period of 5 years or more are not eligible for these engagements. The candidates who have served for a period less than 5 years will have tenure upto remaining period till completion of five years. 2. Tenure of engagement: Six months initially or co-terminus with the present project or till such time the job to be performed by Project Staff in the project exists, whichever is earlier. The tenure may be extended in steps of six months for the duration of Project based on satisfactory performance. The total tenure as Research Associate- I, Project Assistant-II/III, JRF/SRF etc. shall not exceed 5 years in any case. The total tenure of five years shall be calculated as per periods spent on one Project and/ or different Projects taken together in CSIR-CEERI, Pilani and/ or any other Lab./ Instt. of CSIR as RA, Project Assistant Level I/II/III etc. or as any other designation of equal status. 3. Reservation: As regards reservation, if all things are equal, SC/ST/OBC/PH/EWS candidates may be given preference over General candidates so as to ensure their representation. 4. The engagement of Project Assistant- II/ III, Project Associate- I/II, JRF etc. will be made on behalf of the Sponsor of the Projects. These are not CSIR-CEERI/CSIR posts and will not confer any right on the incumbent to claim, implicit or explicit, on any post in CSIR-CEERI/CSIR. 5. Age as on the last date of application will be taken into consideration. Relaxation in age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PH and women shall be 5 years. 6.
