The Squirrel Summary In English

The poet saw a squirrel sitting on a tree and eating nuts. Its tail was raised upwards with the tip pointing downwards. Thus the tail seemed to be making a question mark. It had a gray coat. It was so loose that the poet calls it an overcoat’. In order to eat a nut it was sitting straight. Squirrel is funny little animal that likes to play with human beings. If human beings ran round his tree, the squirrel wouldn’t be frightened. It would like to tease and play. To do so it would also run round the tree but from the opposite side.

कवि ने एक गिलहरी को पेड़ पर बैठे और अखरोट खाते देखा। इसकी पूंछ ऊपर उठी हुई और उसका सिरा नीचे की तरफ झुका हुआ था। इस प्रकार पूंछ एक प्रश्नचिह्न बनाती हुई दिखाई पड़ रही थी। इसकी खाल भूरी थी। यह इतनी ढीली थी कि कवि कहता है वह ओवरकोट पहने था। अखरोट खाने के लिए यह तन कर बैठा था। गिलहरी ऐसा छोटा मजेदार जानवर है जो मनुष्यों के साथ खेलना पसंद करता है। अगर मनुष्य उसके पेड़ के चारों ओर दौड़े तो गिलहरी डरता नहीं है। यह छेड़ना और खेलना पसंद करता है। ऐसा करने के लिए यह भी पेड़ के चारों तरफ दौड़ता है पर विपरीत दिशा में।
