Age Limit
For MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue)- The minimum age limit is usually 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 25 years. The candidates must be born not before 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2006.
For Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS- Candidates must fall in the age group of 18 to 27 years. The candidates were born not before 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2006.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed the matriculation (Class 10) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
SSC MTS Nationality/ Citizenship
A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c) and (d) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after, the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him(hereinafter may be read as ‘him/ her’) by the Government of India.
