SSC JHT Age Limit & Age Relaxation
The minimum age limit is 18 years.
The maximum age limit is 30 years.

SSC JHT Nationality / Citizenship
- A candidate must be either:
- (i) a citizen of India, or
- (ii) a subject of Nepal, or
- (iii) a subject of Bhutan, or
- (iv) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- (v) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), and (iv) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issuedto him by the Government of India.
SSC JHT Educational Qualification
| Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translation Officer/Junior Translator | Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level; or Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsoryor elective subject at degree leveland Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years‟ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of IndiaUndertaking. |
