1. Read the poem aloud
2. Put the words given in brackets in the proper blanks.

2. Find and write pairs of rhyming words from the poem.

3. Find five more pairs of related words:

4. Explain the meaning of these lines from the poem:
(a) “Sometimes, your steps are fast…”→ The father’s actions and decisions are sometimes too quick for the child to understand.
(b) “Sometimes, your steps are hard to see…”→ The child cannot always understand what his father does or why he does it.
(c) “I would want to lead just right…”→ The child wants to be a responsible and good leader in the future.
(d) “And know that I was true.”→ The child wants to be honest and a good role model like his father.
5. Write three sentences showing continuous action:
- The child is following his father.
- The father is walking ahead of the child.
- The child is learning from his father’s actions.
6. Write three sentences showing future action:
- The child will grow up one day.
- He will have his own child in the future.
- His child will follow him just like he follows his father now.
7. Discussion Summary (Bullet Points):
(a) How are customs and knowledge passed from one generation to another?
- Through teaching, traditions, and values.
- By observing and learning from elders.
(b) Should children follow their forefathers?
- Yes, because elders have experience and knowledge.
- But sometimes, change is needed for improvement.
