His son Narasimhavarman successfully defended their kingdom from the Chalukyas.

(2) What is meant by ‘Tri-samudra-toyapeet-vahana’.
Answer : Meaning of ‘Tri-samudra-toya-peet-vahana’:
It means “One whose horses have drunk the water of three seas”.
The three seas are the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean.
This title was given to Gautamiputra Satakarni for his vast empire.
(3) What goods were exported from the Muziris port ?
Answer : Goods exported from Muziris port:
Spices, pearls, precious stones, and other valuable items were exported from Muziris (an important port in the Cher kingdom) to Rome and other Western countries.
