2. Write a short note on Thiruvalluvar using the information given in the story.
Thiruvalluvar was a great poet, saint, and weaver from Tamil Nadu who lived over 2000 years ago. He wrote a famous book called Thirukkural, which teaches values of life, honesty, and hard work. He was also a skilled weaver who made beautiful fabrics. He was very patient, wise, and kind, and never got angry, even when tested by an arrogant man. His teachings about respecting hard work and not wasting things are still important today.
3. Read aloud the speech in which Thiruvalluvar explains how the fabric was made. Present the process in the form of a chart.
Process of Making Fabric:
1. Cotton is grown by hardworking farmers in the fields.
2. Cotton is picked and cleaned carefully.
3. Cotton is spun into long threads.
4. Threads are dyed in beautiful colors.
5. The fabric is woven on a loom to create designs.
6. The final fabric is ready to be sold in the market.
4. Choose any one of the objects we use daily and find out how it is made. Present the information in the form of a chart.
Example: How a Pencil is Made?
1. Wood is cut from trees.
2. The wood is shaped into a thin stick.
3. Graphite is added in the middle to make the lead.
4. The pencil is painted and given a design.
5. An eraser is attached to the top.
6. The pencil is packed and sent to stores.
5. Retell the story in your mother tongue.

6. Collect with the help of your teacher, stories about the lives and message of Saints that lived in Maharashtra.
