2. Find at least two things from the poem that show the following:
(a) It is early morning:
Answer : “Morning light spreads over the earth.”
“The Sun, after his morning dip in the river, dressed up in his golden muslin turban.”
(b) The atmosphere is pleasant:
Answer : “Breezes sing their songs of blessings.”
“Fragrant flowers awaken the sleepy roads with their melodies.”
3. Apart from the children, no other human beings are mentioned in the poem. However, many natural elements are shown to act like persons. Name them and also write what they do.
Answer : The Sky – bows his head in respect.
The Sun – takes a dip in the river and dresses up; waits and smiles on one side of the road.
The Breeze – sings songs of blessings.
The Flowers – sing songs; awaken the road.
The Roads – are sleepy.
The Peepal tree – waves his hands.
The Roads – are shining bright.
Cite two – administrative changes.
Time – is sitting on an old roof.
5. The whole world is happy because children are going to school. Why is it so ? Discuss it in the classroom.
Answer : The whole world is happy because children are the future. Their education brings hope and progress to society. Nature also celebrates their learning journey.
6. Write about how your family supports you to go to school.
Answer : खालील तुमच्या अनुभवासाठी एक उदाहरण आहे, पण ईविद्यर्थी तुम्हाला तुमचा स्वतःचा अनुभव लिहिण्यास प्रवृत्त करते.
My family wakes me up early, helps me get ready, prepares my lunch, and encourages me to study. They buy my books and school supplies and guide me in my learning.
7. What would happen if children didn’t go to school ?
Discuss the question in groups of 5-8 and prepare a short composition on it.
Answer : खालील तुमच्या अनुभवासाठी एक उदाहरण आहे, पण ईविद्यर्थी तुम्हाला तुमचा स्वतःचा अनुभव लिहिण्यास प्रवृत्त करते.
If children didn’t go to school, they wouldn’t learn important skills. They might struggle to find good jobs in the future. Society would not develop, and people might face more difficulties in life.
8. Write in short about what your parents/guardians feel when they send you to school.
Answer : खालील तुमच्या अनुभवासाठी एक उदाहरण आहे, पण ईविद्यर्थी तुम्हाला तुमचा स्वतःचा अनुभव लिहिण्यास प्रवृत्त करते.
My parents feel proud and happy when they send me to school. They want me to learn new things, have a bright future, and become a good person.
11. Project: ‘Sources of Light’
(a) List all possible sources of light (at least 10-15).
Answer : Sun, Moon, Stars, Candle, Torch, Bulb, Tube light, Mobile flashlight, Fire, Lantern, Diya (oil lamp), Glow worms, Street lights, Lightning, LED lights.
(b) Collect pictures or draw diagrams and make a scrapbook.
Answer : (Students can gather pictures from magazines, newspapers, or the internet and paste them into a scrapbook.)
(c) Different ways of classifying light sources:
Answer : Natural and Artificial: Sun, Moon, Fireflies (Natural) | Bulb, Torch, LED (Artificial).
Electric and Non-electric: Bulb, LED (Electric) | Candle, Lantern (Non-electric).
Day-time and Night-time: Sun (Day-time) | Lamp, Stars, Fire (Night-time).
(d) Autobiography of my favorite source of light (Example: The Sun)
Answer : “I am the Sun, the biggest source of light. I rise in the east and set in the west. I give warmth and energy to all living things. Plants need me to make their food. Without me, there would be no life on Earth. People enjoy my light during the day, and I make them happy. I shine brightly in the sky and spread my golden rays everywhere.”
